Most monsters that cast confusion are teamed with monsters that can really hit hard or you are in an area that can kill you, such as moving into poison because you are confused. Sometimes it makes more sense to stop moving when you get confused. Figure out what you are going to do and then do it.
The 3 Constructs in Godlands can be easy to kill
Shoot either the BLUE or the BROWN first because they are weaker than the Silver. Then kill the Silver one last because the silver keeps the other 2 in orbit around it. Wait, I forgot to tell you why you want to kill these guys. Each one can drop an ATT which should be reason enough to kill them. I chuckle at people when they kill only the silver one thinking that is the only one that drops ATT. I come along and kill the others and sometimes I get an ATT from it.
The following classes going solo can kill the 3 constructs but they usually need to have ATT and DEX maxed.
Cyrstal on rock - What to do?
Every once in awhile the Crystal gets placed on a rock. All is not lost, it just has gotten much much harder to break. You have to use area effect weapons and abilities such as Shuriken, Bulwark, Poison, Shields (can't remember but may not damage crystal), Quivers and Scepters to break it. You will find that you need a lot more people (I mean a LOT) to do this when the Crystal is on a rock. There is also a theory that if a Mystic does stasis on the crystal then it will help sync up every ones damage and delay the crystals self healing.

Stating the obvious
Getting into a good guild
Its natural that people want to get into what they consider to be a good guild. Guilds come in all flavors. There are high fame guilds almost always recognized. There are top guilds by server that are always known to the people that play those servers. There are guilds that have some form of notoriety deserved or not. Some guilds that are recognized because of the well known players that are on it. Then there are guilds that are made of of people that share the same interests and skill levels.
Some guilds have recruitment information posted on their Realmeye.com guild page or perhaps in the new Relmeye Guild Recruitment forums. If you are not even close to the recruitment requirements then you are most likely wasting your time asking to join a guild. Some guilds do wave the requirements occasionally but you should not count on it happening.
You should try to join a guild on your server that seems to have the majority of players at your skill level or slightly above. Check out each guild on your server and look at the players. While its not always true, if you look at the player rankings and if the majority are similar to yours and the guild has recruiting requirements that meet your abilities then that may be the guild type best suited for you at this time.
- When I bought my backpack for my farmer but I could not figure out how to transfer inventory from main to backpack and then back again. Searched the forums and found how to do it, but since then it has changed a bit for the better. I thought I would pass along the current information.
- When trading, you can only trade what's in your main inventory.
- If you die with a backpack, it is gone.
- To switch items from main inventory to backpack (1) Drag the item from your inventory to the BACKPACK tab on your character screen and drop it. This sometimes does not work everywhere all the time so use the second method. (2) Hold CNTRL Key and click the item and it is transferred to the backpack.
- To switch items from the backpack to the main inventory drag the item to the BAG tab on your character screen and drop it.
Lag is not your friend
- LAG is a killer, if it is bad then you should go to Nexus, why risk all that you have worked for.
- Lag known as Rubber banding kills. The monsters are bouncing back and forth while you are still moving. When the bouncing or rubber banding stops the monsters are usually in the same position that they were before the rubber banding but if you were moving toward them you may find that you are now in the middle of the monsters. When rubber banding lag occurs you should move your guy back to the last safe (cleared) position. If it continues then nexus or die.
- Lag when all the monsters disappear is just as bad as the rubber banding. If this happens to you, move your guy back to the last safe (cleared) position. If it continues then nexus or die.
- Lag resulting in your game or browser freezing for more than second and there are enemies close to your character then shut down your browser FAST! It may save your life!
- Check my guide on Dealing with Lag.
Some random tips to help you out
- When you decide to go to Godlands, collect health pots (HP pots) before you go, the life you save will be your own.
- We have the ability to stack 6 HP and 6 MP pots. Should you run out of these pots and you are in desperate need you can buy these pots for gold. I wouldn't but you can.
- Do not rely on a Priest, Necromancer or Paladin to heal you, you are responsible for yourself. (You are wondering .... Whats a Priest?)
- Do not the blame the Priest if he does not heal you. The person that picked a Priest character is using the HEAL ability for himself first and you are a distant second if at all. When I play a Priest the only time I heal is when I need it, not when you need it. Your dying does not bother me at all.
- Do not chat in Godlands it will get you killed! If you have not died a chatting death yet, you are due, trust me it will happen.
- If you want to go AFK (away from keyboard) you should go to Nexus or if you don't want to leave the Realm you go to the ocean or beach and type /pause. Its better to be paused and not worrying about some idiot dragging a bunch of critters on you trying to kill you. Note: If you are paused and the realm goes to Oryx's Castle you will become unpaused at Oryx's Castle.
- Keep moving, never stop to line up that shot! Learn to shoot on the fly, dodging bullets is basically preventative healing.
- You do not have to be the one that kills the God to get stuff, but you do have to shoot the God enough so when it dies you have a chance to get stuff. I have at level 7 succeeded in getting soul bound on Gods and got pot drops. Mind you, its more dangerous until you are level 15 and higher.
- Always max your Pets ability stats before you fuse. If you do not max the ability, all you really are doing is making it cost more Fame or Gold to max your pets ability. Fusing before max also means that your Pets ability level has a lower maximum level than if you had maxed the ability before fusing.
- Most Gods like the Medusa have a movement and fire pattern, once these patterns are learned you will be able to dodge and take less damage.
- Everyone has to start a new character sometime. I use the Rolling method when creating a new character. Check Basic Game Information for the term Rolling to see how it is done.
- Sometimes when you have killed something and you see a Soul bound bag surrounded by Gods ... you have to let it go. It is not worth risking your character to pick it up. If it's a dark blue bag then it is DEF at best, if it is light blue bag then it is a Paramount ring usually. Neither of these are worth dying over.
- Red Demon conundrum. In Godlands after the Red Demon is killed, it's chest is in the lava and most likely still surrounded by things that want to kill you. There is nothing in that chest that is worth your characters life. Don't go and investigate unless there are absolutely no Gods / monsters around. Too many people die in that area for meaningless items.
- If you haven't got the message yet, you are an idiot if you don’t take a few minutes and grab HP pots before you head to Godlands. Most people don't care if you die and when you do die, try to remember, if you had some health pots you may have saved yourself.
- Don't feed the Beggars! I know many of them (not all) are new players, but either they are too lazy to get to level 20 and play in Godlands or they are having too much trouble playing the game. Instead of feeding them items and pots which just encourages them to keep begging, send them to this guide. Maybe some of them will read it and turn into great players.
- The /tutorial is useful always. Why is this important? For 2 very good reasons, (1) If you are a new player to the game you should check out the /tutorial. There is important information in there. (2) The /tutorial is a great place to get HP and MP pots fast to fill up your slots. Each time you do the /tutorial there is a guaranteed 3 HP and 1 MP pots, but could be more. Enter the /tutorial through the chat and keep doing it until you have your pots filled.
- When choosing a Ring to use, my first consideration is always .... What will keep me alive? I will use HP Rings because they provide a lot more Health points. Another ring I will choose is a DEF ring which will add to my defense stats. There are various rings that provide similar stats, you should use whats available and affordable.
- Bluenoser exposes the White Bag Conspiracy. I have been asked many times how to get a white bag, and I know there are some people that don't believe me when I tell them exactly how to do it. Here is the big secret all the old RotMG players know ... Just keep trying and eventually you will get a white bag. Most white bags for dungeons and Quest are rare. White bags for Events such as Skull, Cube and others are extremely rare. Just keep doing these dungeons / events and eventually you will get a white bag. You will find that some dungeons / events drop white bags more often than others. To give you an idea on my white bag bad luck, I have never gotten a Helm Of Juggernaught, Wand of Bulwark, Shield of Ogmur and I have been playing since March 2012.
- Everyone wants to know what Stats to max first. The following is my opinion only but I think that you will find it works well. At least until you are a skilled player and find a different method of maxing your stats.
- DEF - Max this first, I never take my level 20 character into the world without maxed DEF. See the section Pot your DEF damnit! and check out my Farming Guide.
- After you have maxed DEF then just start drinking any pots you find until those stats are maxed.
Reason why you may not want to buy better items
- The Exalted HP ring (ExaHP) is +140 HP. The Paramount HP ring (ParaHP) is 120 HP. The HP difference between these 2 rings is small but if you check realmeye there is a big difference in price. If you compare the Unbound HP ring at +180 HP to the ExaHP ring the difference is small but the realmeye price difference is HUGE.
- The Robe of the Grand Sorcerer (GSorc) stats are +4 ATT, +13 DEF, +6 WIS +55 MP while the Robe of the Elder Warlock stats +3 ATT, +12 DEF, +6 WIS +50 MP. As you can see difference in stats is small but when comparing the price on realmeye the difference is big.
- There are many other examples of items that are very useful and low cost but their WC counterparts offer only a slight advantage and the price increase is huge.
Reason why you need to buy better items
- Once you have at least maxed your character to 6/8 and have extra pots then buying better items will allow you to survive just a little bit longer and you are now hitting just a bit harder increasing your chance at soul bound drops.
- Many of the WC ability items have bonuses to their stats. These bonuses can make a difference in how you play.
- SWAG, man you look good in it. Make the others jelly!
Things to consider that may keep you alive longer
- Skull Shrines and Cube God kill many people if they are not prepared. If you are prone to dying then stay away from these, get your dodging skills up. The white bags that drop from these are so rare its not worth trying. Even if you get a pot drop or item drop, the area around the dropped bag may be filled with monsters still trying to kill you. It is not worth the great risk of losing your character for something that is not in a white bag.
- The Rock Dragon event is a real killer, unless you are skilled you might have better luck with a ranged character. The Rock Dragon Bats with confuse and the speed that the Rock Dragon moves around together with its fast laser beams makes that area extremely dangerous. The drops are simply are not worth fighting it, let someone else kill it.
- Quest bosses sometimes spawn in Godlands or even on top of each other. When either of these happens doing that particular event has become even more dangerous to your characters life. Consider taking a pass on it.
- Think of the time it takes to get your character to the state it is in now and really think about if you want to risk death for a few measly pots.
- I realized early on the that these quests and some dungeons were killing me because I either did not understand how to do them and/or I was not potted, I did not have good enough equip or mostly because I just was not skilled enough to do them.
- Become skilled at dodging, knowing when to nexus and using your Heal and MP Heal buttons before trying to do the more dangerous events. Be a coward, you will live longer!
More combat tips, tricks and stuff
- Play with your screen off center (go to settings, the Graphics TAB and turn "Center On Player" off) which allows you to see more of whats in front of you.
- Play using Camera Rotation, this allows you to quickly turn to face your enemy and with the "Center On Player" turned off you will find that it is easier to see what is coming and what you are walking into. Its harder at first but once you master it you will wonder how you played without using camera rotation before.
- A new feature (Aug 2015) is the HP Bar which is below all monsters and characters if you have it enabled. It will give you an idea how much health things have.
- Learn to dodge the bullets, dodging is really preventative healing. Don't take hits if you can avoid them. In a very short time a bunch of little hits can kill you.
- Whether using a melee or a ranged class the less damage you take the better all around. I know that this is just common sense but if you start "playing to survive" you will die less. What I mean is move straight in at the enemy, shoot and move straight back. Never strafe (move sideways) into shots. If you are surrounded, stop trying to kill the enemies but concentrate on backing away to safety.
- When surround by enemies, sometimes it is better to take a few hits to get to a safer (explored) area than moving forward into an unexplored area which may have even more enemies. If you really get trapped, just nexus and come back.
- Be aware of what is going on around you so you don't get trapped. Watch the Mini map which should be zoomed out so you can see whats coming. If you are not watching your Mini map you may find that you have moved too far into an area and now you are surrounded by gods.
- When using the mini-map to navigate, learn the distance from a red dot (enemy) to the blue arrow (you) and know how close it is on the main screen to your position. Basically if I am moving and a red dot (enemy) shows up on the mini-map then my character on the main screen can see it, so look to your main screen right away.
- If I am not actually fighting I am using the min-map to navigate the game to get to the next enemy or Quest. When traveling around, I look mostly at the mini-map and glace quickly at the main screen to make sure of whats around me. When fighting I concentrate on the main screen and then only glance at the mini-map to make sure that I am not moving into a large group of monsters / Gods.
- The Beer God usually hangs out around the outskirts of Godlands. On the current version of the game you just need 2 or 3 people hanging around the area the beer god is in for him to show himself. The beer god just shows as a red dot on the mini-map with no monster in the area. A beer slurp pet is no longer required.
- I see Noob Wizards that are firing their spell bomb just in front of themselves without targeting a God all the time. Place your mouse cursor on the target God and then hit your ability. The more points of the spell bomb that hit the God the more damage you do it. Learn to anticipate the Gods movement and you will find yourself destroying Gods faster. Typically the sweet spot for spell bombing is between the feet of the God.
- Rogues have to know that they are targets. Right or wrong, people like to kill them. If you have been a Rogue for awhile then you already know this. If people come in behind you while you are cloaked, whether they did it by accident or on purpose, it is up to you to make sure that you move and live to fight another day. Don't get mad at them, even if you die. Just take it as a learning experience.
- When teleporting to a Rogue or melee that is in Godlands, be aware that this character may be in the middle of a ton of Gods. This can be very fatal for the person teleporting. The rogue already is aware of the gods and is most likely ready to cloak which will leave you in a very bad spot. If it is a melee they could be tanking their way through the fun which will leave an unprepared person who TP'd in a dangerous situation. When I play as a melee or Rogue and I am solo (or close to it) in Godlands I am killing people all the time because I am surrounded by Gods and they teleport to me and well .... die.
- Why are you in Godlands or going to Oryx if you don't have HP and MP pots? Yeah, this is a popular theme with me, but it drives me nuts that some people are too lazy to get the pots.
- If you are screaming for heals and the Priest, Paladin or Necromancer don't help you out and then ... you die ... who's fault is it really?
- When you are hurt and you TP to a Priest and scream for heals and they don't comply, one must wonder why you didn't just Nexus or go to the beach.
- Occasionally someone will find me in a good mood and I will heal them. If they keep coming back for more heals I get a warm fuzzy feeling watching someone have a melt down because I stopped healing the beggar.
- When you want to teleport using the Mini map make sure that the area you are teleporting to is not close to an Quest God such as Cube, Skull, Ghost ship or some other quest because teleporting onto one of these Gods will ruin your day. No matter how careful you are, you may still TP onto a stack of Gods and that could be fatal as well.
- If you got swag stuff such as WC Tops you should not be wearing this until you have at least maxed your DEF.
- When playing a ranged class (Wand, Staff or Bow) you need to keep your distance from the monsters. Getting in closer is not helping you kill the monsters but it puts you at risk for taking needless damage. This game is about surviving so don't go any closer than you need to.
- Did you know that the Brown cube (minion of the Blue Cube God) acts as a mini boss to the light blue and yellow cubes. If you kill the brown cube, the light blue and yellow cubes will move to the next closest brown cube. If there are no brown cubes close then the light blue and yellow cubes stop moving and slow down their rate of fire.
- Personal Gripe: IMO (in my opinion) people that use the Staff of Extreme Prejudice are suicidal. Sure its the most powerful staff, you are just biding your time until some God gets a lucky shotgun to your face, then your dead. The only good use for this staff is at the Crystal Prisoner to crack the the Crystal and even then make sure you don't start using it until you know when the last shotgun occurred from the Crystal. Well, its useful for opening treasure chests that some Gods now drop.
Most monsters that cast confusion are teamed with monsters that can really hit hard or you are in an area that can kill you, such as moving into poison because you are confused. Sometimes it makes more sense to stop moving when you get confused. Figure out what you are going to do and then do it.
- When confused the A key moves you back, good for escaping and the D key moves you forward.
- When moving into a room that contains monsters that cast confusion it is a good idea to keep your back to the exit of that room. Then if confused you can use the A Key to escape to safety.
- The dungeon Forest Maze is a good and relatively safe place to practice moving while confused.
- Mystic - Stasis 1 or 2 of them and kill the remaining.
- Wizard - Magic Nova Spell or better and spell bomb the Brown one while shooting it. If all or most of the spell points hit then Brown will insta-pop.
- Warrior - use your ability, attack Brown and kill it with Archon or better blade.
- Knight - use your ability on Brown and kill it with Archon or better blade.
- Paladin - use your ability, attack Brown and kill it with Archon or better blade.
- Archer - use your ability to paralyze Brown (sometimes you have to fire it twice) and either Doom Bow or Coral Bow to kill the Brown. Another bow may do it as well but be close enough that all arrows hit. The Doom bow can kill a construct without using your ability, just hit it twice with no misses.
- Huntress - use slow or paralyze if you have it. Hit Brown and kill it. The Doom bow can kill a construct without using your ability, just hit it twice with no misses.
- Ninja - throw your shuriken at the Brown (maybe more than once) while shooting it.
- Assassin - use Nightwing Poison or better 2 or 3 times then using Foul kill the Brown. If you have Murky Toxin the constructs pretty much insta-pop with Foul.
- Rogue - cloak before they see you then using Foul kill Brown.
- Trickster - use Foul or better kill Brown.
- Sorcerer - must have a good electric pet and maxed ATT and DEX. Paralyze Brown then shoot at the paralyzed construct and spam your ability.
- Necromancer - with electric pet can kill the Brown.
- Priest - needs UBATT (maybe EXA ATT) and electric pet, also the T12 wand to kill Brown.
- Pet - electric ability will now allow almost anyone that has very good DEX, ATT and a decent weapon to kill the constructs by paralyzing one or more of them.
There is also a theory that if a Mystic does stasis on the crystal then it will help sync up every ones damage and delay the crystals self healing.
- Check out this very interesting tutorial by Stessbam on how to break a rock Crystal. It was posted on the old Kabam forums which are not accessible anymore.
Rushing suggestions
- When Rushing Tombs, Trenches and other dungeons it helps to have an Anchor that you can TP to in case you get into trouble.
- Open your chat and then type /teleport "insert name" of someone that agrees to be the anchor but don't hit enter. Now when You get into trouble you mash the Enter key a couple of times and you teleport to safety. Make sure its an Anchor (person) you trust and that they don't /pause.
- Just keep your mouse cursor on a group of people and rush, when you get into trouble click to open menu and teleport. This is a little less sure if you are in a panic to escape.
- You should not rush unless you have DEF and SPD maxed as a minimum. You will take damage while you are rushing.
- In a Trench if you get to an area that you can safely clear it may be worth it to clear and then call the people waiting for you to finish the rush. This gives you a closer spot to restart in case you have to abandon the rush early.
Rushing Oryx Castle, Why do it?
- I have Rushed Oryx Casle with a Warrior, Knight and Rogue. While I am the first to tell you I am not a great rusher its been my experience that Rushing to the Stone Guards warrants no rewards over just showing up in time to kill them.
- The idea used to be, get good soul bound damage on the Stone Guards to increase your chances at getting the Ancient Stone Sword (A.S.S). Its been my experience that there is no difference rushing or just getting there with the group in your soul bound chances .
- One of the coolest things I have seen someone do (Minaqo from Knuckle Draggers), he rushes to the Stone Guardian's room and instead of shooting at them, he begins clearing 4 tunnels through the wall between the hall and the Stone Guardian's room then waits for people to come through allowing everyone to attack the Stone Guardian's at the same time. This almost never happens anymore because everyone has a good pet that helps people get to the Stone Guardians quickly.
Lich killing can be easy
- When you get to the Lich shoot it once or twice. Then stop, the Lich will turn blue for a few seconds. During this blue time if you shoot it then you are buffing it and making it really hard to kill because you release the Red Wrath that heals the Lich. It actually gets fairly dangerous fighting the Lich and its minions.
- If you don't buff the Lich then after the blue period it takes about 2 seconds to kill, even an unpotted character can kill a lich easy now.
- Deca added the Mystic Phylactery items to the Phylactery Bearer drops. But to get these items you have to buff the lich and the drops are very rare.
Ghost King killing can be easy
- When you get to the Ghost King shoot it once or twice. Then stop, the Ghost King will turn blue for a few seconds. During this blue time if you shoot it then you are buffing it and making it really hard to kill. When buffed it will release 2 to 3 extra groups of Ghost Knight groups to battle you.
- When not buffed it releases only one group of Ghost Knights.
Ent Ancient killing can be easy
- When you get to the Ent Ancient shoot it once or twice. Then stop, the Ent Ancient will turn blue for a few seconds. During this blue time if you shoot it then you are buffing it and it will release several Greater Nature Sprites and several other Ents. This makes the fight dangerous and longer
- The up side to releasing the Greater Nature Sprite is a rare chance at getting the Quiver of Thunder when you kill the Sprite.
Mad Lab suggestions
- Mad Lab's Mini Bot casts confusion and you are confused for about 1 to 2 seconds, These little buggers cause a lot of deaths because if there are a bunch of them and you are also fighting the larger monsters at the same time you will find it very hard to back out of the fight to a safe distance. I find that even switching to the alternate keys for confusion I am still getting myself into trouble because the confusion lasts only for 1 or 2 seconds. The thing to do is stop moving, kill the closest Mini Bots and then back away, yes I know that the other monsters are still pounding on you but that is a judgement call you have to make at the time.
- Making the Mad Lab's Horrible Creation a bit easier to do. (mostly for those that have no idea how to do this guy)
- In order to get to the Horrible Creation you have to clear all the Tesla coils (white rectangular lights) from the Mad Lab.
- After you kill Dr. Terrible and clear the last Tesla coils then the room to the Horrible Creation opens up.
- You have to lure the Horrible Creation into the green acid pool. Do this by standing along the wall with the green acid pool between you and the Horrible creation.
- Don't stand outside the room firing into the room with the Horrible Creation because he is invulnerable until he changes to a large pet. He won't move to the acid if he can shoot someone outside the room.
- At some point it will charge you and run into the acid where it changes into a large pet.
- When it turns into a large pet you can damage it, but only during this time.
- After a few seconds the Horrible Creation Pet runs to the blue liquid and changes back.
- Repeat this cycle until the Horrible Creation is dead.
- If you are an Archer or have a pet that has the electric ability use the paralyze when the horrible creation is in the green acid pool and you may be able to keep it there until you kill it.
The Rock Dragon Event
This event is painful and many of us try to avoid doing it as long as possible. Some tricks to making it a bit easier (yah sure). The trick is to kill the body segments, then attack the head.
- Sorcerers with Fulmination can help slow the beast allowing others to get their shots on it.
- Huntress can cast paralyze trap or the slow trap is also very useful here.
- Assassins can use their poison to help out. Plague is very useful because it hits a wide area, no need for accuracy.
- Archers if they are lucky enough to get a hit you can paralyze.
- Warrior with the timely use of Juggernaut can minimize the damage done to him and get in some good hits.
- Knight with his stun can seriously hurt the segments as well.
- Anyone with a pet that has electric ability that does paralyze although you have to get close to it which is dangerous
Stating the obvious
- Here goes, having a 4/8, 6/8 or even 8/8 makes many things in this game a lot easier. You get better chances at soul bound drops. You kill things faster which means you are not in that dangerous situation as long. You generally can take more damage without having to Nexus.
- When you have a maxed character you are able to farm pots at a faster rate and generally farm for a longer period of time which translates into lots of pots.
- Maxed characters need to be more careful the longer you play them. You start to feel unbeatable and then you are taking chances which tends to lead to death (specially if your name is Bluenoser).
- Once you have a maxed class (assuming you only have one character slot that is maxed) you need to stay safe and farm pots. Farm as many as you can, mule them, convert them to LIFE or DEF or something else if you wish. You will eventually die and if you do not have another maxed class as a backup, or items and pots to help you start, you are going to hate starting out poor again. The more pots you have muled the quicker you will get your new class maxed again check out Pot your DEF damn it!
- Farm dungeons that you are good at. For example, if you can do Sprite worlds easily and you need DEF, SPD or any other pots the just keep doing Sprite worlds and then trade your DEX for whatever pots you need.
- If you have more than one character slot you have to remember that when you change your class, your ability now is very different. I tend to kill my Tricksters and Planewalker Rogues after playing anything for awhile because I hit the ability and end up TPing to the boss and taking a shotgun. I do this all the time, you would think I can learn not to do it but nope I can't change. Its true that an old dog can't (refuses) to learn new tricks.
- Your healing and MP healing pet will help you survive, make sure you keep leveling them when you can. Check out Pets - Our Guardian Angels.
- Most of the top guilds are already full and some usually have a list of people that have priority on an invitation. So don't be disappointed if they can't invite you in.
- Try to find a guild that has people at your skill level or perhaps slightly better and try to join them. You will find that your playing and guild experience, with people of a similar skill level will be more enjoyable.
- Play consistently each day at the same times if possible.
- Try to stay on the same server as much as possible to get recognition.
- Be polite to everyone. Slamming a Noob because he is pestering your or doing something stupid may get you recognized as someone that a top guild does not want. It just takes one nasty comment by you, heard by a member of a guild that you may be interested in to screw your chances.
- Don't beg, most of the top guilds will not even consider you if you beg, even a little bit.
- Help out Noobs, don't worry about being seen doing it, just do it. Remember when you were a Noob and some awesome player gave you a Deep Sorcery wand? Wow, it was great! That's how the new players feel when you help out. Word will get around that you are a good player and nice person. Trust me.
- Don't try to bribe people in the guilds that you are interested in by giving them items or opening tombs for them. I know some guilds that will invite you in then boot you after you open.
- Help out with heals don't be stingy. Make sure you save enough for yourself though, its all about getting recognized and of course it feels good when you help people out.
- If you see a Mad Lab, Tomb or Shatters to drop from a God announce it (but if you like soloing dungeons only announce every other one or so).
- Announce the Crystal prisoner when you find it, but before you do try to clear the area of Gods.
- Don't pester the guild you are interested in for admittance more than once a week. Many of the top guilds have a waiting list.
- If they deny you, don't rant about it. Be polite and leave. This may keep you in their mind for some time to come because of your good behavior. Or, at least they won't remember you because of your rant. And for your own sake, do not start telling the guild person how much better you are than some of the people with low fame in the guild you are interested in. I automatically mark people that do this as ignored.
- If you are good at rushing through the Trench or other Dungeon then do this and allow others to TP to you when you get to the God. Remember, its all about recognition.
- Give decent items found in Godlands to noobs if you can afford it. Basically be a nice person. I know, I said it already. Just do it. Don't give to beggars though.
- Don't dupe, dupers are always discovered and get named. Many of the top guilds don't admit dupers or cheaters
- Don't use a cheating client. See the point above.
- Don't beg, don't ask for items, yeah, I know I said that before. But, its annoying so don't do it.
- Don't ask people to mentor you or help level up or help farm pots. Most of the people in the game are either saving pots and items to help themselves rebuild after a future death or are in the process of potting a character.
- Check your attitude, the top guilds will not usually recruit someone with an attitude.
- Don't get known as someone who hops from guild to guild or bad mouths a previous guild they were in.
- If you are in a guild and interested in another guild you may find it advantageous to leave the guild you are in and solo for a couple of weeks getting your recognition up by following the previous points.
- A guild leader/officer/founder usually asks other people in the guild if there is a reason that they should not recruit someone. So, if you were a standout for good or bad behavior listed above ...
- If you are told the guild is not recruiting or its full, do not argue, do not ask the guild to boot someone because they are inactive or because "you" say that you are better. When someone argues with me about letting them join, its an automatic ignore. I know, I know I said it before.
- If you are told to check back in a week or some other time do not go and ask another officer or leader to be invited. Do not ask the very next day either. When that happens its an automatic ignore.
