_Avatar of the Forgotten King - Quest
This quest is easy to do but deadly if you get confused and run across the poison fields in the corners. These poison fields cause tons of damage and quickly. If you are going to TP to the group at the Avatar then try to select someone on the outside of the group or teleport to a friend that is close by in relative safety.
It is very hard to do this quest solo (not sure its possible) and even with a small group that does not have maxed classes its hard.
With a decent size group or even a few people that have the right mix of maxed classes you can do the Avatar pretty easily. Be wary of the Avatars 2 shot patterns. The roundish shots hit very hard and cause unstable and come out first. The other shots (like an X pattern) cause confuse and unstable which is a really fun combination. There are spots that allow you to shoot at the Avatar and allow for safe dodging. Always come at the Avatar from the bottom of the screen. Most people will group here to attack it.
After beating on the Avatar for a little while he will spawn the following phases. After each phase he will start up his shot combination again.
Phase 1 - Shades of the Avatar: Small black statues which are straight up easy, beware their shots but pile on the damage and take them all out. Bigger the group the faster you can kill them. Classes that have piercing weapons can line 2 up at a time, small victories.
Phase 2 - Eyes of the Avatar: These are hard to do if you have a small group. The more people you have the easier it becomes. Huntress with Ctrap is useful here to trap the eyes. Buffs from Warrior / Pally are helpful. Slow from Sorcerer and any class that has piercing weapons along with the Assassin using poison. All these guys help take down the eyes.
Phase 3 - Blobombs: Purple floating clouds or mushroom like things that travel in groups. One or two of them blowing up on you could very well kill you. Going up and touching the blobombs when they are moving will cause them to stop wait about 1 second and then blow up. Running through a bunch is one way to deal with them. The other is dragging them to the lower part of the Avatar's area and shoot them / touch them until they die or blow up. During this time the Avatar is still in his shot pattern that I described above. Beware of the idiots that will gather a group of these Blobombs and drag them in behind the people fighting the Avatar.
Phase 4 - Killer Pillars: When these apear, the upper left pillar activates first followed by the rest of the pillars in a counter clockwise motion. If you take too long killing them they will temporarily go invulnerable.
Once you have killed the 4 Killer Pillars you will be on the last shot patter of the Avatar. Lay on the damage, kill him, collect the loot.
*Note: When the Avatar is in the realm, if someone calls Lab or other type of dungeon you should first put your cursor on the group at the Avatar to see if the caller is there. If the caller is there the first thing you need to do is mark that idiot ignored. He is hacking and calling people so they will TP and land on the Avatar which will usually kill you.
Pot Drops - WIS, DEX, VIT, SPD, DEF, ATT
Item Drops - Tablet of the King's Avatar
Portal Drop - The Shatters (chance)
Level 15 to level 20 - no stats potted
Even low level characters can do this guy, just pay attention to the shot patterns, back away when needed, lay on damage when you can. Be aware of the Blobomb phase.
Level 20 - at least DEF potted
Potted with Max DEF will help you here but you will have better luck as a 4/8 or better. Become familiar with the shot patterns, be careful of confuse and you can do just fine
Notes on Classes:
Assassin - Chuck poisons at the boss, stay on outside edge until its time to help with the phases.
Knight - Avatar can't be stunned but shield damage is good to use. Ogmur is really helpful for the group.
Sorcerer - A fulmi scepter is a good help when on the Eye and the Blobomb phases.
Warrior - Use berserk to boost the group. The extra damage will help take it down faster. Jugg is very useful for protection.
Paladin - Use your ability to boost the group.
Wizard - Use your spell bomb from the outside for safety. Your staff hits hard as well.
Mystic - Your curse can be a big help giving just the bit extra damage.
Priest - Puri tome can be a big help to the melees if they are tanking the damage for the group. Will also help any one else that gets confused and is about to spiral out to the corners.
Huntress - Ctrap is a huge help during the Eye phase allowing the group to finish them off quickly.
Dbows - Decent range huge damage helps take down the big boy.
